Area Events
Warkworth is a place you'll want to visit, to explore, to savour and return to. It's a community where something is always happening - there's excitement in the air.

The second weekend of March every year in Warkworth is the place to be for great pancakes and syrup as their Maple Syrup Festival warms up winter. Horse sleigh rides, sawing competitions and snowshoeing are just a few of the charming events that draw thousands yearly to Sandy Flat Sugar Bush, while in the village itself, craft shows antique shows and street events provide a festive air.

Each June the Warkworth Community Service Club holds it's annual fund raising giant auction The Donnybrook. From trinkets you just can't wait to own to a true antique, you'll find it at the Donnybrook. Also every June the Warkworth Business Association hosts the Warkworth Garden Tour, another fundraising event showcasing the beautiful gardens of Warkworth and the surrounding area.

In July during the Warkworth Western Weekend the Rodeo comes to town. In August Main street is transformed for the Long Lunch and in early September the Agricultrual Fall Fair takes place.

Later in November the Perfect Pie Contest pays tribute to the history of pie making in Warkworth. An event not to be missed by anyone with a sweet tooth.

And let's not forget Christmas time in Warkworth. The season kicks off with the Home for the Holidays decorated house tour followed closely by their wonderful night-time Santa Claus Parade and the Victorian Lantern Walk.

And of course what year wouldn't be complete without the New Years Eve Dance at the Warkworth Town Hall Centre for the Arts.
